Let's have a look at English nature. The National Parks in England are wild open natural spaces protected by environmental laws. The most famous ones are the Lake District and the Peak District, but the total number of national parks in England is ten.
The Peak District was England's first national park, designated in 1951. It is in Derbyshire, in the centre-north of England. It is famous for its beautiful moorlands.
The Lake District is one of England's best-loved regions. It is in the north-west of England and it has an incredible natural beauty. The landscape is varied, with mountains, valleys and the great lakes. William Wordsworth, the famous romantic poet, wrote many poems here that made this district famous all over the world.
