The cycle of water in nature
shows us the different states of water.
Look at these photographs and observe the form which water takes
in each one of them.

The internal
structure of the molecules does not change in any change of state:
ice and steam are the same substance as liquid water. What changes is
the intensity with which the molecules attract each other and the way
in which they group together. The water molecules
have the same shape and the same atoms in the three states. |
